When Prince Harry’s book, Spare, came out, it got some bad press for some members of the Royal Family and a former butler.
Harry didn’t hold back when he talked about new information about his life as a king. The prince also talked about Meghan Markle’s friendship with Kate Middleton and how the two women used to dislike each other a lot.
There have been rumours that Meghan made Kate cry on her wedding day over the flower girl dresses. Later, though, Meghan said those things weren’t true and said Kate was the one who had made her cry.
It’s safe to say that Kate and Meghan were never really close. In Spare, Harry now talks about another time Kate yelled at Meghan.
Little Princess Charlotte was going to be a flower girl at Meghan Markle’s wedding. It is said that she broke down in tears when she tried on her dress without a fitting. Kate is said to have called Meghan out of anger, and Harry found his soon-to-be wife “sobbing on the floor.”
From the start, Meghan and Kate were not best friends, but they were also not enemies either. In fact, many people hoped that the two would finally find their groove and click, but something always seemed off between them.
On the other hand, Meghan hasn’t said much about her bond with Kate. As you might expect, when she has shared information, things have become very explosive.
Kate and Meghan’s relationship
In the December Netflix special about Harry and Meghan, Meghan said that her first meeting with Kate could have gone better.
Meghan said, “When Will and Kate came over for dinner, that’s when I met her for the first time. I remember I was wearing torn jeans and boots.”

It was said that Meghan had a hard time accepting the fact that Kensington Palace was only for William and Kate. Another important royal staff member told her she would never be “in the first division.”

Neil Sean, a royal expert, said that Kate offered to take the first shots of Archie when he was born. It is said that Meghan turned her down because she wanted to “hire a photographer” for the job.

In their book Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand say that the two women weren’t really at odds with each other from the start. Instead, they say that the two royals just didn’t know each other well enough.
They wrote, “Meghan would agree with the assessment that the duchesses were not the best of friends.” “They hadn’t made much progress in their relationship since Markle was dating Harry.”
Durand and Scobie also say that Kate didn’t do much to make Markle feel like she was part of the family, at least not in the way that people might have thought she would.
Meghan had thought that Kate would take her in and teach her everything she should know as someone who is new to “the Firm.” The writers say that didn’t happen though.
Durand and Scobie wrote in Finding Freedom, “Meghan was disappointed that she and Kate hadn’t become close over the position they shared, but she wasn’t losing sleep over it.” They also said, “Meghan would far rather have had Kate check in on her during the most difficult times with the press.”
Then things got heated up before Harry and Meghan’s wedding. Meghan said Kate made her cry on the day of the wedding.
In her interview with Oprah with Harry, Meghan said that Kate Middleton had made her cry over the flower girl dresses at her wedding, which was the exact opposite of what the rumours said before.
“It made me feel awful.” The wedding week was really hard. It was her fault that she was mad about something, and she said she was sorry. Meghan said, “She sorry and brought me flowers and a note.”

Of course, Meghan was under a lot of stress at the time. She was having a hard time with her father, Thomas Markle, because he gave the press fake pictures of her. She also had to think about the wedding.
In his book, Harry wrote that after texting Kate, he found his future bride-to-be “sobbing on the floor.” The text message Kate sent to Meghan said, “Charlotte’s dress is too big, too long, and too baggy.” When she tried it on at home, she cried.
In the beginning, Harry said that Kate didn’t want to fix the dress with Meghan’s maker at Kensington Palace. Some changes had to be made to all of the girls’ dresses, so they had to be made all over again.
Besides that, Harry said Kate talked about the dress problems with her “own wedding designer.”

A survey says Harry isn’t as famous in Britain as he used to be.
A lot of people are looking forward to Harry’s book, but not everyone is excited about what he has to say. The Express said that about 4.1 million people watched the Prince’s chat with ITV on Sunday. At the same time, the BBC showed the thriller Happy Valley, which about 5.3 million people watched.
The bad trend can also be used to describe how people feel about Harry. According to a new YouGov poll that was released in The Times, only 24% of people in the UK still think positively of him. That’s less than the 80% that said that ten years ago; now, only 68% say that.
What the poll found was that Harry and Meghan were even less popular with people over 65 than Prince Andrew.
