Samsung Takes a Savage Jab at iPhone 17 Hours After Apple’s Unveiling

Samsung has reignited its long-running feud with Apple, delivering a scathing critique of the tech giant’s newly unveiled iPhone 17 models and the iPhone Air just hours after Apple’s highly anticipated product launch. While tech enthusiasts are raving about the sleek design and new features of Apple’s latest smartphones, Samsung isn’t holding back its opinions.

Apple’s Latest Launch

Apple’s September event, always a highlight in the tech world, showcased the new iPhone 17 series, including the ultra-thin iPhone Air, which is just 5.6mm thick—Apple’s thinnest iPhone yet. The device is touted to be the most durable iPhone ever, boasting a ceramic shield and a titanium frame. Additionally, Apple revealed new AirPods Pro 3 and an updated Apple Watch lineup, all wrapped up in a fresh, sleek presentation.

The iPhone 17 series will be available in five colors—lavender, mist blue, black, white, and sage. While Apple fans were quick to express their excitement, Samsung’s response was far less enthusiastic.

Samsung Fires Back

Samsung Mobile US wasted no time in throwing shade at Apple’s latest launch. The company retweeted a post from three years ago, originally shared during the launch of the iPhone 14 series. The tweet, reading “Let us know when it folds,” was a pointed reference to Samsung’s foldable smartphones, which have been on the market since 2019. These devices, such as the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold, use Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) to allow users to fold and unfold their phones effortlessly.

A Brutal Re-Post

In an even more savage move, Samsung added the hashtag #iCant to the tweet, further mocking Apple’s failure to enter the foldable smartphone market, which Samsung has firmly dominated. The tweet quickly gained traction, accumulating over 300,000 views and 6,300 likes as of this writing.

While some Apple fans rushed to defend their favorite brand, calling foldable phones a “flex” or outright dismissing Samsung’s move, others found humor in Samsung’s cheeky tweets. “Honestly enjoying Samsung tweets,” one user commented, while others joined in with playful jabs at both companies.

The Foldable Smartphone Divide

Despite Apple’s impressive camera system and sleek designs, Samsung remains a key player in the foldable phone market, a space Apple has yet to explore. Many tech enthusiasts believe foldable phones are the future of smartphones, and Samsung’s continued innovation in this area has given it a significant edge.

In contrast, Apple has stuck to its traditional form factor for now, leaving many to speculate if and when the company will embrace foldable technology.

Conclusion

While Apple’s new iPhone 17 and iPhone Air may have impressed many, Samsung is not backing down in the smartphone wars. Whether it’s the foldable innovation or their sharp social media tactics, Samsung is making it clear that they are here to stay—and they’re not afraid to poke fun at their competitors along the way.
