Puppy Abandoned in Trash Due to Two-Leg Limitation Finds New Hope

In a heartbreaking yet inspiring story, a seven-week-old puppy named Cupid was found abandoned in a trash can in Toronto. Born without front legs, Cupid was tied up in a garbage bag and discarded by his previous owners, leaving him helpless and vulnerable. It’s unimaginable that anyone would treat an animal this way, but fortunately, this story ends on a positive note thanks to the compassion of a few heroes.

Two women heard Cupid’s cries coming from the trash can and immediately contacted animal control. The puppy was rescued and brought to an animal shelter, where he received all the care and love he deserved. Joan Znidarec, president of Dog Rescuers Inc., described Cupid as “sassy, funny, and animated,” despite the rough start he had in life.

Cupid was soon adopted into a loving home, where he continues to face challenges due to his missing front legs. However, with the love and support of his new family, Cupid is adjusting well to life. “You have to prop him up when he has to pee or poop,” Joan shared, explaining the extra care Cupid requires.

The good news didn’t stop there—Cupid will also be receiving two prosthetic front legs, which will help him move around and play like any other puppy. This will certainly make his life a little easier and allow him to experience the joy of running and playing like any dog deserves.

His story is a reminder of the power of kindness and the importance of giving all animals, regardless of their physical condition, the love and care they deserve.
