Leader of the House Claims Donald Trump Was an FBI ‘Informant’ on Jeffrey Epstein Case

Mike Johnson, a senior Republican leader, recently claimed that former President Donald Trump was an “FBI informant” in the investigation into convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Speaking to CNN, Johnson stated that Trump had been “misrepresented” in the controversy surrounding Epstein’s case and the ongoing demand for the release of all related information.

Epstein, who was found dead in 2019 under suspicious circumstances, had a vast network of influential connections, and his case has been at the center of numerous conspiracy theories. It’s been over five months since Attorney General Pam Bondi mentioned that the Epstein files were sitting on her desk, awaiting release. However, shortly after, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced it would not release further files, claiming no “client list” existed. Later, the Trump administration reversed its position and stated that all FBI files, including grand jury testimonies, would be made available.

The Epstein Files Controversy

Trump has been vocal about the Epstein case, dismissing the claims against him as part of a larger “hoax” driven by political opponents. In a recent statement, he condemned the release of Epstein-related files, suggesting that they were handled by figures like former FBI director James Comey, former Attorney General Merrick Garland, and President Joe Biden—individuals he has frequently criticized. “Those files were run by my enemies. If there was anything in there, they would have used them for the election,” Trump said.

Johnson backed Trump’s position, asserting that Trump had been misrepresented regarding the Epstein case. “What Trump is referring to is the hoax that the Democrats are using to try to attack him,” Johnson explained. He added that Trump had expressed his horror at the crimes Epstein committed and that he had “kicked him out of Mar-a-Lago” when he first heard the rumors about Epstein’s actions. According to Johnson, Trump acted as an “informant” to assist the FBI in taking down Epstein’s operations.

Calls for Full Disclosure

The controversy surrounding the Epstein case has intensified, with calls for full transparency about all related documents. Last week, Representatives Thomas Massie (R) and Ro Khanna (D) held a press conference calling for the Trump team to release all relevant materials. The event included Epstein survivors, many of whom had never publicly spoken about their experiences.

The House Oversight Committee released over 33,000 pages of classified documents, including flight logs, jail surveillance video, court filings, audio recordings, and emails. While this has provided some insight into the case, many Democrats argue that these files have yielded little new information, particularly regarding the much-discussed “client list,” which the FBI has consistently denied exists.

As the investigation continues and new revelations emerge, the public remains divided over the extent of the government’s involvement and what additional details will be uncovered in the ongoing pursuit of justice for Epstein’s victims.
