The 66-year-old comedian revealed she has been diagnosed with three significant health conditions: obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and osteoporosis.
DeGeneres explained that therapy led to her discovery of OCD, a condition characterized by unwanted thoughts and repetitive behaviors. She recalled her father’s similar behaviors, which she now believes may have been indicative of the condition. She also spoke about her ADHD diagnosis, describing it as a challenge that causes her to lose focus quickly and struggle with impulsive behaviors.

The most concerning diagnosis, however, was osteoporosis, a condition that causes bones to become weak and brittle. DeGeneres mentioned that the disease made her feel fragile, joking that she could “disintegrate in the shower,” highlighting her vulnerability. She underwent a bone density test to confirm the diagnosis, which left her feeling like a “human sandcastle.”
