Baldwin, who previously endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2024 elections, criticized Musk for his political affiliations and environmental views. Baldwin, known for his role as President Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, took to social media to express his disapproval of Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, who had supported Donald Trump’s campaign with millions of dollars.
Back in November 2024, Baldwin spoke passionately about the upcoming election, stating that the country’s future was at stake, particularly when it came to environmental issues. He emphasized that environmental concerns were paramount, saying, “The environment is the most important thing to me right now, because you can’t undo it.”
Baldwin specifically addressed Musk, criticizing his ideas and contributions toward solving the country’s environmental challenges. “Elon Musk comes up with ideas which are apparently great ideas, people love their Teslas; Elon Musk comes up with ideas but none that I know of are going to solve our environmental problem,” Baldwin remarked. He went on to suggest that Musk should focus his attention on large-scale solutions for environmental issues.
In a more dramatic turn, Baldwin allegedly threatened to have Musk removed from the United States within 24 hours, stating that he “doesn’t deserve to stay.” However, no reliable media outlets have confirmed this claim, and it remains unclear whether Baldwin’s comments were serious or made in jest.
