People at BAFTA were moved to tears when Warwick Davis paid respect to his late wife Samantha. Samantha died last year.
After his wife died, the actor said, “Life has been pretty tough.” He then added, “Thanks to the support of our wonderful children, I’ve been able to keep engaging in life.”
Davis shed tears on stage, and his kids were clearly upset in the crowd.
He also said this about his late wife: “She was always so supportive of my career and told me to seize every chance I could.”
They stated: “As our highest accolade, the BAFTA Fellowship recognises those who have made an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television.”

Many people in the audience were moved to tears, and one person said, “Oh no, Warwick Davis got me crying.”
They said, “Warwick Davis and his kids have me BAWLING.”
A third said: “I’m not normally an emotional one but Warwick Davis just awww 🥺🥺🥹🥹🥺🥺💔 Well deserved.”
The famous actor got the fellowship not only for his long and successful job as an actor in Harry Potter, Star Wars, Willow, and many other movies, but also for helping other actors who are short.
Last year, the star said in a statement that his wife Samantha had died at the age of 53.
“My wife, soul-mate, and best friend,” he said. Loved mother, my favorite person. Someone who was my closest friend and a huge fan of everything I did in my work has died.
“The friendly and open person I’ve ever met.” Our lives as a family are very different since she died. I miss her hugs.

“She was one of a kind; she always saw the bright side of things.” She was really funny, and she always laughed at my bad jokes.
“I was sure I could do anything with her by my side.”
“It was like having strength.” Without Sammy, there would have been no Willow or Tenable Quiz.

Samantha got sepsis in 2019 because of a problem that happened during surgery on her spine. It is a very serious illness that can kill you.
In 2024, she passed away. Davis has sued the University College London Hospital, which is where Samantha’s surgery took place.
